The Face of the Clock
July 31, 2006 on 1:09 pm | In Friends | No CommentsYesterday I set a record time on the phone. I talked to Mery for 5 hours, we chatted till the battery of my home phone died and we got disconnected. I don’t think that I have ever stayed on the phone for so long, not even in my teenage years – and you know how that was.
Of course we hadn’t talked in almost a year and we had a lot to cover. Due to our conversation I finally broke down and rearranged the picture gallery. The problem with that is that as a ramification most of the old entries that had pictures in them got messed up, but I may be able to fix them one day. At least this way I can go in order from now on.
Mery, you reminded me about pictures from 2001 and how much we laughed
. I posted those pictures in the picture gallery CLICK HERE to see them. I also remembered this one thing:
I think that you would remember this clock I made while working together at AveNew Productions. It’s not very readable but I think it goes something like that:
9:00 Leka gimnastika
10:00 Kafeta I cigari
11:00 Email
12:00 Plodove 13:00 Telefoniq
14:00 Bake Rolls
15:00 Na pyt
16:00 FedEx e tuk
17:00 Mandji I Salati
18:00 4antata, franzelite I pytq (4antat e Puma/SBH kato na Dika Kotio)
19:00 Z-Z-z-z Ofisyt spi
We could say that the face of this clock counts as an evidence of my so very few artistic talents. You know how kids play instruments, or sing or dance or draw… well, I didn’t practice neither of those. I couldn’t even walk in tact with the music and do left arm with right leg forward.
Sue’s 4th Annual Beach Party in a Slideshow
July 21, 2006 on 8:57 am | In Friends | 3 CommentsEvery year around this time in the Summer Sue, Kate’s best friend, throws a huge beach party. Last year was my first time and we had a blast. At first I couldn’t grasp the concept of renting a cottage on the beach when you live in the same town, but when I think about it, it makes perfect sense. It is Sue’s vacation, she likes to spend it on the beach and if she is in her house she would have to drive to the beach versus to roll out of bed on the beach. She would have to be in her own house, which wouldn’t feel much like vacation.
Around the last day of her stay she has everybody come and hang out. There is food; it’s a cookout so there are the parrot’s staples: burgers, dogs and margaritas, chips, dips, cheese, crackers and beer etc. Of course there is the beach where everybody is engaged in beach activities such as beach volleyball, sunbathing, drinking Coronas, bumming around, soaking in the cold ocean… and then there is karaoke. Sue hires those guys that come and set up their equipment on the beach (yes it is a privet beach). Knowing all that I was armed with my camera and here is the outcome. Oh, and by the way, although I’ve had it for quite a few months now I’m still obsessed with my Casio, circuit size camera (ako da pravi tumni film4eta i da imam nujda ot fener4e). I love it.

Lily and the Grecian Festival
July 19, 2006 on 7:39 am | In This is soo crazy! | 2 CommentsWhile at the Greek festival we met with Steff, Cliff, Header and the babies. You know how much I love Stephanie’s crazy personality and how big the synergy of our insanity is! Here is a small video I took of Steff, telling us about the Greek lady’s exclamation over the baby. Of course the prototype is “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” Add please listen to the excitement in my voice, not that I hear myself on tape everyday but that’s beyond just enjoying someone’s company. Click the picture to see the video. ![]()
P.S.: Since this is my first video uploaded to my pix gallery I need feedback. Let me know whether you were able to see it and if took too long to open.
Exclusive thanks to Beccam for enlightening me on the ETP technology and for seting up the whole thing for me.
Smoke-Free
July 18, 2006 on 7:09 am | In Announcement | 1 CommentHey, hey, hey! I almost forgot to celebrate an important anniversary! July 16, 2006 was the day marking two full months of cigarette freedom! I haven’t smoked in over 60 days! It wasn’t easy in the beginning but with god’s help I was able to kick the habit. Using the patch helped a lot; it appears, however, not to be a guarantee – some people, I’m not mentioning names, are ripping the patch off almost everyday.
I feel great and healthy. I’ve always said it “is a filthy habit.” I can sense pleasant aromas so much better now and I don’t wakeup with a WC taste in my mouth every morning. Strangely though, I can also smell smokers – some of them reek of foul stench. I’m surprised by how quickly tolerance changes. Unfortunately, it has been empirically proven that it is just as easy to go back to smoking. Please cross your fingers so that I keep up this year’s 4th-of-July-madness healthy initiation.
That is totally off topic, but have you notice how much Shakira sounds like Kermit the frog?
“Oh baby when you talk like that
You make a woman go mad
So be wise and keep on
Reading the signs of my body ”

The Greek Festival
July 16, 2006 on 7:00 am | In You've got voicemail! | No CommentsAnnually, around this time of the year the Greeks on Cape Cod celebrate by throwing a big fest. Naturally, the Greeks have a lot of food so that it is pretty much socializig while in 2-hour long lines, eating, dringing ouzo etc. Joan had cemented the tradition of going every year thus I’ve inherited it. I have Steff’s invitation from last’s year feastivities. To hear it, CLICK HERE.
Deja vu

n.
- Psychology. The illusion of having already experienced something actually being experienced for the first time.
-
- An impression of having seen or experienced something before: Old-timers watched the stock-market crash with a distinct sense of déjà vu.
- Dull familiarity; monotony: the déjà vu of the tabloid headlines.
