Ticketmaster vs eBay
April 29, 2006 on 8:08 am | In This is soo crazy! | No CommentsFour years ago I wanted to see Madonna in concert and I even bought a ticket but it was double booked and it all failed through. Then I wanted to see “Incubus” and my friend Desi was going to buy tickets but I couldn’t get the time off so I didn’t go. Madonna is coming to Boston in July this year and Sean (from Boston) asked me if I’m going; he and his friends are going. I looked at the thickets and I got a headache, I understand that she signed a $100,000,000 contract for this concert but that’s insane – I saw tickets for over $8000! I figured, “I’m definitely not that big a fan of Madonna,” and gave up on the concert all together. A week later another friend of mine, from the Cape, told me he had bought tickets form EBay and sent me a link. I always have felt sort of sketchy about eBay so I wasn’t sure if I want to buy tickets through it. I opened the link, however, and saw a pretty good deal. Well, it ended up being a pretty sweet deal; I got a pair of tickets for $102. In the spirit of the previous entry now I have 2 novelties – first eBay purchase and first Madonna concert to be attended.
I’m excited to see the person who doesn’t have the greatest voice, who started from the masses, long before insanities like “American idol”; the greatest example of the America’s infinite opportunism, the queen of pop, her Majesty – Madonna.

Cultural Events
April 25, 2006 on 8:25 am | In Friends | No CommentsI can’t say that I’m a big fan of musicals but the one we saw on Saturday was outstanding. Joan had bought tickets for it last year and her sister (Debbie) her niece (Elisa) and good friend (Ron) came to Boston for the weekend. We did a matinee and it was at the opera house in Boston – beautiful place. Yes, we saw “Wicked!” ![]()
I remember the first time I heard about it; it was about a year and a half ago when I went to see the gates exhibition in Central Park. My highly respected friend Gary from NYC was raving about the play when we drove by a big billboard. Ever since then, anytime the name of the play had come up, everyone had raved about “Wicked.” Thus I was really excited to see it and tried not to have high expectation so that I don’t get disappointed. We had an extra ticked and I invited Omar. He had seen the play on Broadway but was glad to see it again. As always we did our go out stroll and had a blast.
To make the long story short – I loved the play just as much as everyone else. The first association that came to my mind when the play was over was – PHENOMENAL! Or as people in New England like to say it was “wicked cool!”

Happy Easter
April 16, 2006 on 8:13 am | In Announcement | No CommentsAccording to many people Easter is the time of springtime festivals, a time to welcome back the Tulips, the Crocuses and the Daffodils. It’s a time of new suits, new dresses and patent leather shoes; A time for Christians to celebrate the life and resurrection of Christ. And a time of chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks, and colored eggs!
My boss surprised each of us with a fertile bucket full of candy.
